PORCH STOMP
“Jam Face” by Steve Skollar
This body of work “Jam Face," is a love letter to my small music community, off the east coast of the United States, in the borough of Brooklyn. Every year Porch Stomp assembles a gathering of musicians on a small island in the middle of
New York Harbor. This is my gift to my friends, and support for this wonderful event.
All drawings were completed prior to the pandemic, cancer, and two winters in the country. The jam is always evolving. Players come and go. This is but a small snapshot in time of some of the players who play at Sunny’s, a magical place at
land's end.
— Steve Skollar
All drawings are for sale, with proceeds going to Porch Stomp, an annual gathering of musicians and music lovers on beautiful, historic Governors Island. Porch Stomp is defined by the faces you see depicted on these walls, and the dynamic group of musicians who gather in the back room of Sunny’s every Saturday night.
