Vocalists and string, guitar and mandolin players at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music have joined forces to experience the historic American music of bluegrass. Taught by expert bluegrass musicians, in a fun jam-style approach, students experience the joys of leading, improvising and accompanying traditional folk songs and old-time music.

Hilary Hawke is a pillar in the NYC oldtime and bluegrass music scene. Known for her banjo playing, singing and songwriting, Hilary is pleased to present songs from her newest banjo album, Lilygild being released in May 2022. In 2019 Hilary was the banjoist for the Tony award winning revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! on broadway, and most recently was honored to perform for the USA pavilion in Dubai with the band, the Wild Goats.
